On Saturday, June 25, the Capitol lawn was filled with 1500 of Black girls and women from across the state and nation to celebrate Black girlhood and experience food, fun, and freedom. ​

We are already preparing for next year!

Because joy is an act of resistance, we will not allow the world to steal our joy! We want every Black girl and woman to experience the joy she deserves! Join & support Black girls & women experiencing joy!

Who doesn't like to eat? We plan to have some of the best Food Trucks in town to fill your belly and add to your joy! Tacos! Sandwiches! Vegan Cusine! A full belly is a happy belly! 

Over 50 businesses and organizations are coming together to celebrate Black girlhood! There will be dozens of vendors, nearly 25

activities of "play!" including but not limited to double dutch, life-size Jenga & Connect Four, hustle, live DJ, and live performances!

Imagine all things 

Black Girl Magic + Block Party!

We want women and girls from ages 2 to 92 to come out and have the time of their life! It's all about experiencing the joy of Black girlhood.
